Mary Sigward + Artists: sorry Clover @ Yaw Theater (Seattle – Georgetown)
sorry Clover, the inaugural production of Mary Sigward + Artists, is an interdisciplinary solo dance work exploring isolation’s effect on memory and one’s perception. Created, choreographed, produced, and performed by Mary Sigward, this piece explores the many facets of isolation in order to create an environment where audience members have space to intentionally reflect and process their personal experiences vis-a-vis art.
The evening will consist of a performance, approximately 40 minutes long, followed by an open community gathering. After the performance concludes, the floor will open and allow audience members to mingle amongst themselves. The community gathering will focus more on intimate conversations rather than a formal talk-back/Q&A. Following current COVID-19 health and safety guidelines, food and drinks will be provided to create a social environment with open-ended prompts projected in the space to keep conversations connected to the work and engage audience members to verbalize what they observed in the performance and how it relates to them.
Location: Yaw Theater, inside Equinox (6520 5th Ave. S)
