What Sounds at Night – Portable Performance Festival @ 18th & Union (Seattle – Central District)
Solo and duo pieces for violin and viola represented different composers’ interpretation of nighttime. Selections include composers of the 20th and 21st centuries, including Bohuslav Martinu, Bela Bartok, Shulamit Ran, and Kaija Saariaho.
We believe in speaking about the music to provide context and enhance the experience of the audience, particularly those who are not regular listeners of classical music.
Elizabeth Phelps on violin
Kayleigh Miller on viola
