Indelible: Reflections on Queerness in the Performing Arts – Lowbrow Opera Collective @ 18th & Union (Seattle – Central District)

A free evening of music and community centered on the intersection of queer representation and expression in the arts.

Indelible will begin with a performance of selections from Erika Meyer’s Seven Songs of Emily Dickinson and arias from her opera Achilles and Patroclus, followed by an interactive panel discussion. The musical performance will feature Lowbrow board members Christine Oshiki, Jared White, and Trevor Ainge, as well as special guest and collaborative pianist, Beth Grimmett-Tankersley. Lowbrow will then be joined by panelists including University of Washington professor, Stephanie Clare, music director of Nashville Opera, Dean Williamson, and director of PugetSoundworks, Miriam Anderson, for an interactive discussion featuring local perspectives on queer representation in the arts and contemporary LGBTQ+ issues.
