On the 3rd Wednesday of every month, join Velocity Dance Center and Cafe Racer for an interdisciplinary performance series and residency that brings together artists from different backgrounds to experiment, collaborate, and transform.

December’s Firelight is an embrace of fictional and historical solstice ritual, as featured artist Saira Barbaric explores the transformation necessary to propel through the dark months to the dewy spring.

Saira Barbaric (they/he/she/ze) is a multidisciplinary, gender-blending hedonist creature in a thicc Black disabled human suit. Since 2015, they/he has been based in Seattle creating performance, porn, events and visual art that explore folklore, erotic magic, AfroPsychedelic dreams and glitch as expressionism.
