Abigail Gersten is a Jewish lawyer, asked to defend the First Amendment rights of Professor Bernard Cooper, who publicizes the Holocaust as a Jewish hoax. Abigail is pulled into a moral quagmire, making her confront the differences between what is legal and what is right. The ensuing conflict concerns issues of history, memory, free speech and how the stories we tell about ourselves determine who we are.
Presented as a staged reading. No set. No props. No costumes. No blocking. No light or sound cues. We read from our scripts. Storytelling in its purest form.
