QUICK TAKESTHEATRE

The World’s Quickest Theatre Festival Kicks Off

The 14/48 Projects are by now a pretty familiar concept: seven randomly paired teams create 14 fully staged plays in 48 hours. Predictably, there’s a bit of a madness element to it. From the audience perspective, both the show quality and the subjects tend to vary based on who’s involved — but it’s among the most adventurous viewing in town, and always a fun experiment.

This weekend’s lineup looks pretty darn promising. Here’s what to expect.

(For the uninitiated, here’s more from 14/48 on the concept. And see NWT’s review of another 14/48 project, Food Thunderdome with Cafe Nordo, here.)
