Tiny Beautiful Things @ Valley Center Stage (North Bend) (PWYC)
Tiny Beautiful Things is based on the best-selling book (Wild) by Cheryl Strayed and adapted for the stage by Nia Vardalos (My Big Fat Greek Wedding).
Accepting an invitation to answer letters as an unpaid and anonymous on-line advice columnist, Cheryl Strayed, a struggling writer at the time, was unsure of herself at first trying to respond to the deeply personal letters seeking advice and support from Dear Sugar. Cheryl reaches beyond her uncertainty and connects to her readers with humility, unconditional positive regard, humor and compassion by sharing vulnerable and honest experiences from her own life. Tiny Beautiful Things is a play about reaching when you’re stuck, healing when you’re broken, and finding the courage to take on the questions that have no answers.
Location: Sallal Grange (1060 Stilson Ave. SE, North Bend) — in the Cascade foothills, east of Issaquah
