Activism Brunch: Income Inequality – Mirror Stage @ Phinney Center (Seattle – Greenwood)
Contexpo: Income Inequality and the Wage Gap begins on 9/9 with a hands-on visual art event at 6:30, followed by an all-access yoga class (any level) at 7:30.
The Activism Brunch, including first-looks at thematic plays in the Expand Upon series, follows on 9/10. Gather in community to discuss the complexities of the issues around Income Inequality and the Wage Gap, learn ways to get involved, and advocate for change. A light brunch will be served. Plus, get a sneak peek of Expand Upon: Income Inequality and the Wage Gap, featuring two newly-commissioned plays by Mary Fields and Nelle Tankus, coming in October online. The Activism Brunch will also be streamed on Mirror Stage’s YouTube channel.
Mirror Stage’s new series of arts events invites participants to take a deeper dive into themes relevant to upcoming productions. Contexpo events include visual art, spoken word, special speakers, and workshops.
