Award-winning theatre-maker Valerie Curtis-Newton is the director of the currently running, critically acclaimed production of 'Nina Simone: Four Women' at Seattle Repertory Theatre. Curtis-Newton talked with NWTheatre about her vision in staging the piece, and artist-activism more generally.
